investigation of single-user and multi-user detection methods in mc-cdma systems and comparison of their performances
Optimal Design of Single-Phase Induction Motor Using MPSO and FEM
In this paper, a new approach is proposed for the optimum design of single-phase induction motor. By using the classical design equations and the evolutionary algorithms such as Genetic Algorithms (GA), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Modified Particle Swarm Optimization (MPSO), a Single Phase Induction Motor (SPIM) was designed with the maximum efficiency. The Finite Element Method (FEM)...
متن کاملDetection of Bearing Faults in Mechanical Systems Using Motor Current Signature and Acoustic Signatures
Bearings are one of the critical components which fail often in rotating machinery during operation. Bearing faults in the mechanical system run by an induction motor causes change in its stator current spectrum. It is due to the fact that faults in the bearings cause variations of load irregularities in the magnetic field which in turn change the mutual and self inductance causing side bands a...
متن کاملDetection of Stator Short Circuit Faults in Three-Phase Induction Motors Using Motor Current Zero Crossing Instants
Stator faults typically have a significant share amongst the common type of faults in industrial three-phase induction (asynchronous) motors. This paper presents a motor current signature analysis (MCSA)-based diagnostics of the stator winding short circuit fault. This type of fault happens due to the destruction of the turn insulation, and can be very detrimental causing motor shutdown. Instea...
متن کاملCurrent signature analysis of induction motor mechanical faults by wavelet packet decomposition
This paper presents a novel approach to induction motor current signature analysis based on wavelet packet decomposition (WPD) of the stator current. The novelty of the proposed method lies in the fact that by using WPD method the inherent nonstationary nature of stator current can be accurately considered. The key characteristics of the proposed method are its ability to provide feature repres...
